ZOO BAR LEGACY
Read More Here
In a storied building built in 1921 sits the ZOO Bar, a narrow nightspot that’s been a staple for live music in downtown Lincoln since 1973.

Some big time acts have walked through the hallowed club’s doors including Buddy Guy, Bo Diddley, Albert Collins and Otis Rush.

Throughout 2014, a variety of bands will play on the same stage graced by those blues legends in honor of ZOO Bar’s 41st anniversary.

Grammy Nominated Blues Artist John Primer returns to the ZOO BAR on October 1st and is joined by Lil Ed.

His sound is rooted in the classic Windy City blues sound of decades past: rough-edged and uncompromising and satisfying in the extreme. He's one of the last real traditionalists in town.

The Bruce Katz Band blurs the lines between blues, "soul-jazz", rock and New Orleans-inspired roots music. They combine exciting instrumental jams and vocal tunes with their original, trademark sound, blending the B3 organ and guitar.
