In a storied building built in 1921 sits the ZOO Bar, a narrow nightspot that’s been a staple for live music in downtown Lincoln since 1973.
Some big time acts have walked through the hallowed club’s doors including Buddy Guy, Bo Diddley, Albert Collins and Otis Rush.
Throughout 2016, a variety of bands will play on the same stage graced by those blues legends in honor of ZOO Bar’s 43rd anniversary.

& C'mon In The ZOO BAR!
“Even if you walked into the Zoo Bar without knowing anything about it other than music is played here, one would know they were on very hallowed ground. … It was/is one of those venues that when on the road, you'd swear it was Saturday night on a Monday or a Tuesday. I love love love this joint but, the room, the name are nada without its people, its staff and its audience, that give that body a soul.”

Blues fans have long appreciated the effort that Primer puts forth up on the bandstand. He’s long been known for wringing every ounce of energy out of not only his guitar, but his body, as well, when on stage. You don’t have to have a front row seat to feel the power and heat that Primer and his band generate. Click on Picture for Blues Blast Interview.
